Chef Shinji Kokubo
Born and raised in Japan, Chef Shinji Kokubo began his culinary journey at age 18, learning the traditional art of sushi and Japanese cuisine. Ten years later, he moved to Los Angeles, where he continued to refine his craft at respected sushi restaurants.
In 2008, Chef Shinji made Palm Springs his home. TAKA SHIN® is the realization of his longtime dream—a place where authentic Japanese flavors, careful craftsmanship, and warm hospitality come together.
